About

It is not what the eye sees… it is what the mind sees!

Photography is my main means for pursuing creative and artistic urges, for capturing and for bringing joy to others through images.

I have been doing photography seriously since the latter part of 2000. I have photographed weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other events; I have done over two thousand portrait sessions.

I am an economist, but the arts are my passion as well, so one day I decided to concentrate my energy on photography. I taught myself rudiments of photography years before this decision, so I had no problems with its technical and aesthetical aspects, but I used my camera primarily as a device for capturing reality, not as a creative tool. In my works human body dominates, being the most important subject, content and essence of my pictures.

I respect commercial work, but my fundamental concern has become lately fine-art photography.

I shoot with a full-frame digital SLR camera and prefer zooms to prime lenses (fixed focal-length). My sessions entail using a variety of lenses, filters, backgrounds, and lighting techniques which will enable me to provide a wide variety of custom prints. My years of experience as a graphic designer has helped me understand how to deliver strong images that art directors and photo editors demand for kick-ass layouts.

I am able to travel on short notice and specialize in the following:

  • advertising, fashion, or editorial photo assignments;
  • model portfolio work;
  • editorial-style portraits.

I do photography because I truly enjoy it.
